PortStone Installation is Fast and Easy

PortStone Thin Brick products are made with brick patterns already established in sheets of brick or stone so installation is fast and easy.  Each sheet will contain from 3 to 16 bricks or stones depending on the brick pattern or stone pattern chosen. They are already laid out, positioned, spaced, and sized, in the pattern you choose.  Most PortStone thin brick patterns are “keyed” for easy alignment and installation.  For example, when installing regular brick pavers, the Herringbone pattern can be very difficult to keep straight.  Regular brick flooring is laid one brick at a time. Great care must be taken by the installer to properly space and position each brick.  However, PortStone’s Herringbone brick pattern comes in sheets. There are 8 bricks per sheet with each sheet covering approximately 1.87 square feet.  We suggest that you pop chalk lines on the floor to keep the lines straight and square.

Use PortStone’s border stone or brick patterns to accent your floor, patio, or pool deck. Our Soldier Course brick border pattern comes in 36-inch strips for fast and easy installation. We even make mitered corner pieces to dress up each corner so you get just the right finishing touch to accent any border application. You can achieve a nice look by insetting the border 8″ to 16″ from the edge of the room or patio, then, use the same brick or stone that is used in the rest of the area. This will fill in around the edges between the wall and the border.
